Engineering services · Based in India

Add engineers to your team. Or hand us the whole build.

Saqura Labs is an engineering services company for product companies. We place experienced engineers inside your team, or take complete ownership of a product, module or problem — across semiconductor, automotive, medical devices, embedded systems, software and AI.

Services

Two ways to work with us

Most engineering gaps are one of two kinds: not enough of the right people, or not enough ownership. We are set up for both.

Staff augmentation

Extend your team

Our engineers join your team and work the way your team works — your repositories, your tools, your reviews, your standups. You direct the work. We make sure the people are right for it, and that they stay for the length of the program.

Shape
One specialist, a pod of three to eight, or a full team with its own lead
Fits
Programs with a clear owner on your side who needs more capable hands
Duration
From a single release cycle to multi-year programs
Starts with
A conversation about the roles, then profiles you interview yourself

Product design & development

Hand us the build

Give us a product, a module or a problem. We take it from requirements and architecture through implementation, integration, validation and release, with a named lead on our side and a plan you can hold us to. Code, tests and documentation are written so you can take the work in-house whenever you choose.

Shape
A cross-functional team sized to the scope, led by a Saqura engineering lead
Fits
New products, modules or workstreams that need an owner, not just capacity
You keep
All code, test assets, documentation and tooling
Starts with
A scoping exercise: requirements, risks, plan and estimate

Many engagements combine the two: a product team on our side owning a workstream, and specialists embedded on yours.

Industries

Six sectors where the software has to respect the hardware

Semiconductor

Silicon is only useful with software around it. We build and maintain the layer that makes a chip usable: board support packages, bootloaders, drivers, firmware, reference designs, SDKs, validation suites and the tooling to run them across releases.

Automotive

Vehicles now carry software with ten-year lifetimes and strict process requirements. We work on embedded and connected-vehicle software, middleware, diagnostics and validation, with the traceability and documentation the sector expects.

Medical devices

Connected medical devices need software that is reliable, and documented well enough to submit. We build embedded and application software with the design records and verification evidence to go with it.

Embedded systems

The layer between hardware and product: firmware, RTOS ports, board bring-up, drivers, middleware, power and performance work, and the integration that makes it all behave as one device.

Software

Applications, platforms, backends, cloud services, APIs, internal tools and test automation — built to production standards and handed over with tests that run.

AI

Models are easy to demonstrate and hard to ship. We do the engineering in between: data pipelines, inference integration, on-device deployment, evaluation harnesses and monitoring.

Capabilities

What we build

Nine areas of engineering, from the board up. Most engagements draw on several at once.

Hardware & system design
Architecture, schematic and layout review, component selection, board bring-up support, and the system-level thinking that keeps hardware and software decisions consistent.
Firmware & embedded software
Bare-metal and RTOS firmware, bootloaders, power management, peripheral drivers, secure and over-the-air updates, and the diagnostics to support devices in the field.
BSP & drivers
Linux and Android board support, U-Boot, kernel and device-tree work, drivers for display, camera, audio, connectivity and storage, and kernel upgrades across releases.
Software engineering
Applications, services, APIs and platforms in the languages your stack already uses, with code review, automated tests and continuous integration as the default.
Cloud & platforms
Backends, device fleets, data pipelines, observability and deployment on the major cloud platforms, designed for the scale you actually have.
AI / ML engineering
Model integration, fine-tuning, quantisation and on-device inference, evaluation harnesses, and the data and monitoring work around them.
QA & test automation
Test strategy, automation frameworks, device farms and hardware-in-the-loop rigs, regression suites that run on every change, and reporting you can trust.
Verification & validation
Requirements traceability, functional and system verification, performance and reliability testing, and release validation with records that survive an audit.
System integration
Bringing hardware, firmware, software and third-party components together into one product that works — and proving it with integration tests on real targets.

How we work

How an engagement runs

Six steps, one of them a gate. Validation is where work either passes against the requirements or goes back — and it is planned from the first week, not discovered in the last.

  1. Understand

Requirements, constraints, existing code, and what “done” means to you.

  2. Architect

A written design, interfaces agreed, risks named early.

  3. Build

Reviewed code, tests written alongside it, weekly visibility.

  4. Integrate

Hardware, software and third-party parts together on real targets.

  5. Validate · Gate

Functional, performance and reliability testing against the requirements.

  6. Deliver

Release, documentation, handover — and support after.

  • A named engineering lead on our side for every engagement, whatever its size.
  • Work tracked in your tools and your process — or ours, if you would rather not set them up.
  • Code reviewed, tested and documented as it is written, not in a phase at the end.
  • Everything is built so you can take the work in-house whenever you choose.

Typical scopes

The kind of work we take on

Illustrative scopes, to show the shape and depth of an engagement. Each is the sort of workstream we are set up to own outright or to staff.

Semiconductor

Board bring-up for a new SoC

Bootloader, kernel, device tree, drivers for display, camera and connectivity, and a validation suite the customer keeps running after we leave.

Automotive

A verification pod for an ECU program

Test design, an automation framework, hardware-in-the-loop integration, nightly regression, and the reports that go to the program office.

Medical devices

Firmware and companion app for a connected device

Embedded firmware, mobile application, cloud service, and the design and verification records needed for submission.

Semiconductor

Platform test automation for a chip vendor

Coverage across drivers, tools and reference applications, maintained across releases so every new build ships with evidence.

AI · Embedded

A vision model on an edge device

Quantisation, runtime integration, benchmarking on target, and a deployment pipeline the customer’s own team can run.

Software

A backend team extension

Engineers embedded in a customer’s product organisation for the length of a program, working in its repositories and its release process.

About

Saqura Labs

Saqura Labs is an engineering services company based in India. We work with product and technology companies — the ones building chips, vehicles, devices and the software around them — and we only take on work we can do well.

Our engineers come from product backgrounds and stay close to the hardware. Engagements run the way good product teams run themselves: written plans, reviewed code, tests on every change, and documentation that outlives the project.

Engineering first
Not an IT services company with an engineering label. Every engagement is led by an engineer.
Product companies only
We work with teams that ship products, and we understand what that takes.
Close to the hardware
Depth in the layers between silicon and application, where generalist firms are thin.
Flexible by design
One specialist or a whole product team; a release cycle or several years.
India-based, globally run
Teams in India working in your time zones, in your tools, to your process.
Quality built in
Documentation, testing and review are part of delivery, not a phase at the end.
